Message from the Principal
Buford Middle School's mission is "Educating the Whole Child."
Middle School is a stepping stone to post-secondary success. Our students need high levels of literacy and soft skills to have a successful future. Whether your child chooses to go to college or enter the workforce, we are working to build skills that will ensure their success.
The One-to-One initiative has allowed each child to have daily access to a Chromebook. Our goal is to provide educational opportunities that enhance learning and help our students build 21st century skills. Through continued professional development, our teachers are using Google Apps for Education to address multiple learning styles and enhance learning experiences in their classrooms.
To support Read to Succeed, a state-wide literacy focus, Buford Middle School has incorporated 30 minutes of literacy time in our daily schedule.
Buford Middle School is fortunate to have a supportive PTO, School Improvement Council, faculty and staff, and community. We have a great group of students who deserve an education that allows them to not only build knowledge but life and career characteristics like self-direction and problem solving so they can have a successful future.
Sheri Wells, Principal
