Our mission is to prepare each child academically, socially, and emotionally, for successful living.  We will do this through an engaging, challenging and rigorous curriculum that equips students to be responsible lifelong learners.  We accept the responsibility for providing a safe environment in which students are contributing and confident members, able to serve their communities now and in the future. Buford Middle is focused on giving our students world-class knowledge and world-class skills as we help them develop life and career skills – skills that will insure their success throughout their lives.  We will accomplish this by setting rigorous standards in all courses, and by our teachers use classroom strategies that build creativity, innovation, critical thinking, problem solving and effective communication.  

A Message from Our Principal

We believe that educators have the power to change the direction of young lives and have a positive effect on the lives of future generations. Teaching and learning require planning, enthusiasm, desire, time and effort. We have great respect and appreciation for teachers and their work.  Together with community stakeholders, we at Buford Middle School are focused on preparing students for college and careers. Buford Middle strives to provide a nurturing and safe environment that fosters a rigorous academic and technological curriculum to prepare students to become lifelong learners.
